Riyadh – Mubasher: Prominent Saudi businessman, the chairman and founder of Dallah Al Baraka Group, Sheikh Saleh Abdullah Kamel died on Monday, aged 79.

Saleh Kamel was one of the region’s biggest investors in the media industry as the founder of the Arab Radio and Television Network (ART).

Dallah Al Baraka Group includes a number of companies such as Albaraka Investment and Development Company and Al Baraka Banking Group.

Kamel previously chaired the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and founded a number of non-profit organisations such as the Islamic Economics Center at the King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, the Saleh Kamel Center for Islamic Economics at Al Azhar University in Egypt, and the Jeddah Center for Science and Technology.
